Biography/Career
Philip is a seasoned business leader having spent most of his 30 year career within the health technology sector, working for large UK and US corporations as well as private SMEs and start-ups.
Philip is Chair of ABHI, the HealthTech industry’s primary industry association representing over 400 companies, ranging from multi-nationals to UK SMEs. Now in his second period as Chair, in his time with ABHI he has overseen the development of a focused, long term strategy that has increased the association’s impact with its many stakeholders, including government ministers, senior NHS officials and hospital chief executives.
Philip has sat on the Secretary of State led Life Sciences Council, and the sector specific Health Technology Partnership which supports it.
In 2019 Philip created Eschmann Technologies Ltd a new company following the re-acquisition of the Eschmann infection control product range and service business.
He is a Non-Executive Director of Forte Medical, a specimen collection company and a keen advocate for the value of HealthTech in making a difference to the lives of patients everywhere.
