In Memory of Shah Fayyaz

It is with immense sadness that I write to you to highlight the untimely passing of Shah Fayyaz, CEO of Timesco. Shah passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on the evening of Friday 5th November 2021.

Timesco became ABHI members in 2002, and eight years later, Shah was elected to our Board of Directors, serving three terms over an eight year period, five of which were in the role of Board Vice Chair. Throughout this period, I had the pleasure of getting to know both sides of him, the exceptional business leader who passionately championed the SME cause, and the warm, generous man who was a friend and mentor to many. He was, as I have seen numerous people comment already, 'a true gent'.

After leaving school, Shah joined the family business, where he went on to work for over 30 years. As CEO for the past 21 years, Shah built Timesco into a truly international business and market leader in the UK. He was always incredibly active, helping to champion our industry with first-hand experience of running an SME, but more importantly, doing so with wit, charm and a deep understanding of the market. He travelled extensively and was always willing to offer invaluable advice to colleagues looking to export or expand overseas.

He was also heavily involved in the work of our member groups, including International and Commercial, as well as Surgical Instruments, where he was Vice Chair.

Shah made a real impact on the healthcare sector, and he will be sorely missed.

Shah's family has gratefully requested that any donations in his name go to the 'Gardens of Peace Cemetery'. Shah was buried there at their Five Oaks site, and the Iman knew him, so it is a place that is close to their hearts. ABHI will also be making a donation.

If you would like to send any cards or messages of condolence, the Timesco team will ensure that they are forwarded to Shah’s family upon receipt:

Rest in peace, Shah.
