In 2017 ABHI established a partnership with the Dell Medical School in Austin, and the University of Texas more broadly, that aims to support ABHI US Accelerator companies to build connections and explore ways of working together.

This innovation hub within Dell Medical School has enabled UK companies to expand to the US, to continue developing promising health technologies that help patients in both countries. They are looking inside and out for innovative ideas that improve the health of their community.

How it all works

Over four steps, the innovation and entrepreneurship team facilitate stakeholder needs within academic-industry partnerships and ensures a project’s collaborative success. 

1. Detail levels of support with respect to project details in an initial consultation.
2. Host general discussion sessions with industry partners for alignment and planning followed by detailed strategy sessions to define clear goals and next steps.
3. Develop and present a project roadmap to stakeholders that identifies the most optimal pathway to value for all parties. The team also helps faculty and staff define budgets and agreements that adequately cover a project’s scope.
4. Support partners in every step of implementation through continued project management and future collaboration strategies.
