Rebecca Parkin

Associate Director, Digital Health

Rebecca joined ABHI in March 2026, on a year‑long secondment from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), where she has spent the past six years specialising in digital health policy. Her work at DHSC has focused on shaping the policy landscape needed to support safe, effective and innovative digital health products across the NHS.

Most recently, Rebecca co‑led the review of the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC), published in February 2026, helping to streamline how digital health technologies are assured for use in health and social care settings. Alongside this, she has played a key role in policy development for long‑term health system initiatives, including work on the Healthstore app marketplace, part of the wider 10‑Year Health Plan for England aimed at enabling a more open, accessible and citizen‑focused digital health ecosystem.

During her secondment, Rebecca will contribute to ABHI’s digital health agenda, working closely with members to strengthen policy development, support innovation, and champion approaches that foster system‑wide adoption of impactful digital solutions. She is particularly looking forward to learning from the ABHI membership and bringing frontline policy experience to support their work.

Rebecca holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology from UCL. Outside of work, Rebecca competes in triathlons and leads group bike rides encouraging women to get into cycling.
