Tony Bellis

Head of Government Markets & Public Affairs, North Europe, 3M

Biography/Career

Tony is responsible for public sector market development and public affairs across all 3M businesses in UK & Ireland, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.

3M is a US-headquartered International diversified technology company and a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. It employs 3,000 people in the UK and has 20 sites – six of which are manufacturing plants. Two of those plants are manufacturing PPE used to protect NHS workers from Covid-19.

In 25 years at 3M, Tony has worked in Corporate Communications, Corporate Business Development, Public Sector Market Development and Public Affairs.

Prior to joining 3M in 1995, Tony spent six years in sales and marketing management positions with specialty chemical company, Diversey - owned at the time by Molson Breweries, then Unilever. Before that, Tony spent three years working for the International Lead & Zinc Development Association, developing new markets for non-ferrous metals. He started his career formulating wood preservatives for a company called Protim, which was part of Burmah Castrol.

Tony is a serving member of the ABHI Board, an elected member of the CBI South East Council, a Trustee of the Industry & Parliament Trust and is President of Bracknell Chamber of Commerce.
