Julia Hammac

Biography/Career
Julia joined Abbott in 2018 as Director, Strategic Planning, Diabetes Care. She has held several positions at Abbott, including Senior Commercial Director, EMEA Diabetes Care. Julia assumed her current role as General Manager, UK and Ireland, Diabetes Care in March 2025.
Prior to joining Abbott, Julia worked for McKesson Corporation, as VP Corporate Strategy and Business Development and then VP Growth & Business Development Retail Pharmacy Solutions. Prior to that, Julia worked for Deloitte Consulting, with focus on strategy and operations consulting across health care sectors. She began her career as a financial analyst for a public-sector consulting firm.
Julia attended Stanford University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two daughters, as well as cooking, reading, and exploring new places.
