Biography/Career

Angela Bagnall is the General Manager for the Johnson & Johnson MedTech UK & Ireland surgery business, with full P&L responsibility for a market-leading organisation serving both the National Health Service, HSE in Ireland and a growing private healthcare sector. For 140 years, J&J MedTech has helped advance surgical care across wound closure, adjunctive hemostats, surgical stapling and instruments, robotics and digital solutions.

Angela is focused on launching innovative products and strengthening partnerships across healthcare, that deliver sustainable value to better solve customer and patient needs in metabolic and cardiovascular disease, cancer, orthopaedics. gynaecology and colorectal.

A highly experienced healthcare leader, Angela began her career in pharmaceuticals and biologics before joining Johnson & Johnson more than ten years ago. During her tenure, she has worked across both Consumer Health and MedTech, progressing from supply chain roles into senior commercial leadership positions. Her professional background spans sales, global and regional marketing, strategy, transformation, global manufacturing, and field logistics. Angela is recognised for her collaborative leadership style, building high-performing teams, and delivering operational excellence.

Originally from the United States, Angela has lived in Europe for several years, first in Switzerland and now in the United Kingdom. Her broad international experience and end-to-end understanding of the healthcare ecosystem enable her to take a holistic approach to driving business performance and supporting healthcare system priorities within the UK and Ireland.
