Nine UK HealthTech companies will travel to Texas this November as part of a major trade mission organised by the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI), connecting British innovators with some of the United States' leading healthcare systems, research institutions and industry partners.

Taking place from 9 - 13 November 2026, the mission forms part of the ABHI US Accelerator programme and will take delegates across Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas, providing direct access to senior healthcare leaders, clinicians, innovation teams and potential commercial partners.

The delegation comprises nine companies representing a broad range of HealthTech innovations: Ossiform, Haigh, Community Dermatology Limited, Heim Health, Megi Health, Open Medical, TidalSense, Mursla Bio and VitVio.

Over five days, the companies will participate in a packed programme of meetings, hospital visits, technology showcases and networking opportunities, designed to help them better understand the US healthcare market, establish new relationships and explore opportunities for international growth.

The mission will begin in Houston, with visits to the Texas Medical Center, Memorial Hermann, Houston Methodist Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Delegates will meet healthcare executives and innovation leaders to discuss clinical priorities, technology adoption and opportunities for collaboration.

At Houston Methodist, the programme will include discussions on digital health, supply chain and procurement, alongside opportunities for companies to present their technologies and engage directly with clinical and innovation teams.

Homer Quintana, Director, Center for Rapid Device Translation, Houston Methodist, said:

"We are delighted to welcome the ABHI delegation to Houston and look forward to engaging with this remarkable group of UK HealthTech companies. This visit offers a valuable opportunity to collaborate, share groundbreaking ideas, and explore how global innovation can help advance patient care and address key healthcare challenges in the U.S."

The delegation will then travel through San Antonio and Austin, meeting organisations including My CHN, Baptist Health, Sendero Health Plans and Texas Children's Hospital.

A key highlight will be a dedicated UK HealthTech Showcase at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin, where participating companies will present their technologies to faculty and healthcare stakeholders, opening up discussions around clinical needs, research partnerships and potential adoption.

The final stage of the mission will take place in Dallas, with engagements involving Vizient, Texas Health Resources, UT Southwestern and Methodist Health System.

The visit to Texas Health Resources will build on an established relationship with ABHI, providing an opportunity to reconnect with senior leaders, showcase new technologies and explore further collaboration.

Winjie Tang Miao, Chief Executive Officer, Texas Health Resources, said:

"We always enjoy hosting the ABHI delegation and are delighted to welcome them back to Texas Health Resources. This return visit is a great opportunity to build on the connections and discussions from last time, hear from a new group of UK HealthTech innovators and continue exploring opportunities to work together."

The Texas mission reflects ABHI's continued commitment to helping UK HealthTech companies navigate the complexities of the US market and build meaningful, long-term international partnerships.

Through its established network of healthcare providers, academic institutions, investors and industry experts, the ABHI US Accelerator provides participating companies with opportunities to engage directly with US decision-makers, gain practical market insights and develop relationships that can support future commercial success.

The mission is supported by ABHI's US partners, including Wilson Sonsini and Frazier & Deeter.
