Investing in Greater Value for ABHI Members

Topic : News and Press Type : Press Release

We are continuing to invest in the capabilities and expertise needed to strengthen ABHI’s impact and enhance the value we deliver for members. To support our growing policy, engagement, and events activity, we are pleased to welcome three new colleagues to the team.

Kelley Ireland has joined ABHI as Associate Director, Public Affairs. Kelley brings a strong background in health policy and government engagement, having previously worked in Parliament for both an MP and a Peer, and at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as Special Adviser to Dame Lesley Regan. Most recently, she spent seven years at the NHS Confederation, giving her extensive experience of the health and policy landscape, alongside a strong understanding of working within a member organisation. Her expertise will further strengthen our ability to influence policy and support members’ priorities across Government and the NHS.

Last year alone, ABHI hosted 50 events, including webinars, conferences, and roundtables, with more than 3,500 individual members engaging with our programme, the highest level of participation to date. In 2026, we will expand this offer further. To support this growing activity and provide additional communications and engagement capacity, Charlotte Hart has joined the team. A Politics and International Relations graduate, she brings experience in client relations and corporate events from the financial recruitment sector, further strengthening the support and opportunities we provide for members through our events and wider engagement activity.

In addition, we have welcomed Rebecca Parkin on a 12-month secondment from the Department of Health and Social Care. Working closely with Andrew Davies, Rebecca is supporting ABHI’s growing digital health agenda, including critical areas such as cyber security. Most recently, she co-led the review of the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC), helping to streamline how digital health technologies are assured for use across the system, and as the first Government secondee to join ABHI, her appointment reflects both the association’s role in shaping practical policy and the regard in which we are held at the highest levels. The position will therefore create a valuable two-way exchange of expertise between industry and policymakers.

Collectively, these appointments strengthen our policy capability, expand engagement capacity, and enhance the practical support we provide to members, ensuring we continue to deliver greater value through impact.
