NIHR Industry and Innovation Routemap

The NIHR has developed a new Industry and Innovation Routemap, expanding on the existing Clinical Trials Toolkit. This highlights the strengths of NIHR infrastructure, providing a tailored pathway through the clinical trials process and clearly maps out the complex structure of the NIHR.
The Routemap has been created in direct response to the findings of the recent review of NIHR’s industry engagement and delivery, which consulted widely with stakeholders from the life sciences sector. It provides a more consolidated view of applicable NIHR services that is easier to navigate and emphasises NIHR unique positioning and benefits it can offer.
The Industry and Innovation Routemap consists of ‘stations’ along the clinical trial pathway, and at each station users are provided with links to all the NIHR resources available to support Industry partners at that stage of their research. The Routemap will continue to develop, with future plans including a tailored entry point and pathway for users from different life science sectors.
