In the US, an estimated 37 million adults are living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), with prevalence growing. The number of people with key cardio-kidney-metabolic (CKM) risk factors is also increasing, with CKM disease - where heart disease, CKD, diabetes and obesity co-exist and exacerbate each other - affecting over 1 billion people worldwide.
While there is no cure for CKD or associated CKM disease, better management can slow down progression.
Beam is an exercise and lifestyle management app scientifically proven (Greenwood et al, The Lancet Digital Health) to improve physical and mental health of people with CKM disease and reduce healthcare costs.
