Sally Chisholm

Sally Chisholm has worked in roles supporting the use of new technologies in the NHS for over 15 years. Most recently she was the Programme Director for Adoption and Impact at NICE. Her responsibilities included supporting the implementation of all forms of NICE guidance, identifying solutions to technology specific adoption barriers, measuring the resource impact of guidance and monitoring its uptake and impact.

Prior to joining NICE Sally was the Chief Executive of the NHS Technology Adoption Centre. It was here that she gained her direct experience of working with industry to understand and find solutions to the issues that were preventing them successfully accessing the NHS.

Sally's NHS career began working in clinical and research diagnostic imaging roles. Following an honours degree in Information Technology she returned to the NHS working in information analysis whilst supporting GP commissioning activities. She subsequently completed her MBA a qualification of considerable value in her work.

Subsequently Sally held a number of roles including joint posts with social care and leading a cardiovascular network focussed upon cross organisational collaboration, service re-design, delivering innovation and improving quality.

Since leaving NICE Sally has established Health Tech Adoption Strategies, which supports companies with both strategic and practical market access activities. This includes assisting them with identifying issues they are likely to encounter when marketing their products in the UK and supporting submissions to NICE. In the last 3 years Sally has successfully delivered projects that have resulted in 6 positive publications by NICE and is currently supporting a further 5 applications.
