Ellie Charsley
Director, Government Affairs
Ellie is responsible for the development and delivery of ABHI's government and parliamentary engagement strategy.
Representing the Health Technology industry across the UK, she is a member of the UK Government Life Sciences Business Environment Board and leads the HealthTech workstream of the Life Sciences Scotland Industry Leadership Group. She also leads the Health Technology Partnership secretariat and sits on the Life Sciences Council secretariat, ensuring a strong and impactful representation for HealthTech across government, supported by proactive parliamentary activity. Under Ellie’s leadership, ABHI Scotland was formally launched in May 2022.
Ellie joined ABHI initially in 2014, and then after graduating from the University of Bath with a degree in Politics and Economics, permanently in 2016. During her time at ABHI she has been seconded into the UK Government, Office for Life Sciences, and has held a number of roles for the organisation focusing on government affairs, communications, equality, diversity and inclusion and the delivery of a number of ABHI's member groups.
