About Teresa

Teresa “TJ” Johnson, CPA, is Sr. Vice President, Customer Success, Quality and Regulatory.  TJ has led the creation of Customer Success at Acelity. Her company knowledge, market familiarity, and organizational credibility combined with her tireless effort and enthusiasm has helped begin to change the culture of Acelity in a profound way. She focuses herself and the business on tying customer improvement initiatives to business results that deliver better and consistent outcomes to stakeholders. She recently assumed the leadership of Quality and Regulatory and has built a transformation plan that will improve speed to market, employee willingness to recommend along with driving efficiency and effectiveness in these two critical areas.

As Franchise Leader – Post Acute, TJ was responsible for Acelity’s largest franchise, setting strategy and leading the global innovation and expansion activities for wound care outside the hospital setting.  As Vice President of Sales, South Central Region, she led a $160M region with approximately 115 sales professionals. She also led KCI’s US Home Care Business, where she changed the way sales professionals approached the market, achieving new growth in the business. As KCI’s Interim Chief Financial Officer, she was instrumental in establishing a field sales transformation while also refinancing the company’s debt. As Divisional CFO, she played a key role in the pre and post acquisition activities when the company went private in 2011. She served on the executive divisional leadership team and directed global business planning and analysis supporting innovation, the commercial business, and operations for the $1.4B wound healing division of KCI. As Corporate Controller, she oversaw all internal and external financial reporting and accounting, leading KCI through public and private transactions.

She held two leadership roles in operations, first as Vice President, Advantage Center, managing the financial and business operations of a 1200-person call center, order support, billing and collection operation; later serving as VP, Enterprise Program Management, a role where she was entrusted with setting up and leading an Enterprise Program Management Office which drove operational excellence and cost savings delivering well over $100M in value to KCI in 2012.

Before joining KCI in 2002, TJ spent 14 years working for top firms, including Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse.

TJ is married and has two teenagers which keep her busy outside her professional career. She enjoys reading and exercising in her free time.
