About Ann

As President of non-profit corporation, BioMed SA, Ann Stevens utilizes her unique combination of experience in the biomedical field, investment community, and media industry – along with a collaborative leadership style and passion for community service – to promote San Antonio’s healthcare and bioscience assets. In this role, she helps established companies grow and prosper, recruits new businesses, and fosters entrepreneurial startups.  Before launching BioMed SA in 2005, the lifelong Texan spent eight years as Director of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations for publicly-traded ILEX Oncology, Inc., San Antonio’s most successful biotech company, where she participated in getting two new cancer drugs approved.
