Technical, Regulatory and Environment
The ABHI Technical & Regulatory function’s purpose is to
cover those issues that affect the medical devices industry in four
principal areas:
The ABHI Secretariat actively monitors these areas and aims to
keep members up to date with the latest developments and to
represent their interests via contacts in UK Government, the
European Commission and other bodies involved with these
issues.
Regular meetings are held of the various ABHI Technical &
Regulatory Groups and members are given updates of the current
situation via the electronic newsletters Technical Update and
Primed.
Much of ABHI’s work is carried out in conjunction with the
European association Eucomed.
Members are encouraged to inform ABHI about issues of concern to
them and to participate in ABHI meetings in order to maximise the
benefits of their membership of the Association.
