Engaging with Parliament, Shaping the
Healthcare Debate
The Parliamentary Working Group steers the Association's
engagement with industry and political decision makers.
We run an active programme throught the year to engage
positively with parliamentarians, on key areas affecting the UK
medical technology industry. This includes sucesses such as
Connecting with the Parliamentary Process which provided a
workshop for ABHI members on how to engage in the
parliamentary process.
The group publishes uesful material relating to parliament for
ABHI members. A copy of the ABHI's 2005 manifesto (4 Mbs, Zipped)can be downloaded here.
Each year the ABHI takes a delegation from the Parliamentary
Working Group to the party conferences with the aim of raising the
medical technology industry's profile with key parliamentarians.
