The show provides exhibitors with the opportunity to both develop and maintain business relationships in one location over the 4 days making it both time and cost effective.

Last year saw visitor numbers at Medica surpassing 138,000 with a greater number expected for its 41st show this year. 2009 was also a record year for ABHI insofar as it look its larger ever UK pavilion at the show. Exhibitors on the ABHI pavilion 2009 included first-time exhibitor Physicool and established Medica-attendee Malem Medical, both of whom comment below:

Physicool is most grateful to ABHI for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate Physicool to the worldwide market. ABHI provided the perfect platform for us to work from, and their professional approach and look greatly enhanced Physicool's profile.

We are already looking forward to working with them for Medica 2010.

Kay Russell
Physicool

Malem Medical considers Medica to be one of the most vital exhibitions we exhibit at. It is perfect for meeting new customers from all over the world, as well as seeing existing distributors and keeping them up-to-date with our latest products.

Dr Hilal Malem
Malem Medical

We anticipate space on the UK pavilion being, once again, at a premium. In order to avoid disappointment, therefore, companies are encouraged to complete the Medica Application Form and return it a.s.a.p. More

4. This Issue's Feature; Building Business with Agents and Distributors

Effectively managing agents and distributors is one of the key elements to developing and building your export business – but it can also be one of the most challenging.

No two agents or distributors are the same, and most markets vary in regard to culture, business practice and product or service expectations. The most successful companies have common business practices and procedures for their export business, but also understand that a flexible approach, and the ability to adapt their management style, is required to meet cultural and local norms.
