Feedback received from UK exhibitors thus far indicates that Arab Health was a resounding success.
The UK presence was augmented by the attendance of UK Business Ambassador Lord Darzi, who attended Arab Health in order to promote excellence in British healthcare manufacture, services, technology and innovation. (See Section 2)
Sheila Dyson MBE of London Healthcare Ltd has exhibited at Arab Health for more than two decades. According to Sheila, both the quantity and quality of visitors to their stand surpassed previous years. Sheila shares the view of many other UK exhibitors that Arab Health 2010 was the best yet.

First-time exhibitor, Andrew Davidson, Managing Director, of DTR Medical said of the show:
DTR exhibited for the first time at Arab Health 2010, and we were very impressed with the event. The UK Pavilion was always busy, and consequently we had a full timetable of meetings and visitors. We achieved a key objective of finding potential partners throughout the region and in some markets we have the luxury of selecting from excellent candidates, keen to work with us.
Despite press reports about the downturn, it was obvious that the region continues to invest heavily in healthcare, and I hope we will take full advantage of this.
Mediconex 2010, Egypt:
UKTI had arranged for a number of Commercial Officers in the region and beyond, to visit Arab Health 2010. These included Commercial Officers from Syria, Qatar, the UAE and Egypt. Suzan Labib, Advisor - Trade & Investment in Cairo, will be manning a stand at Mediconex in Cairo at the end of March, and has extended an invitation for UK healthcare companies to send company literature free-of-charge for Embassy personnel to display at the show. (See Section 7 for more information).
