1. Editor's Comment:
Arab Health selling fast:
Space on the UK pavilion at Arab Health went on sale last Thursday. Once again, there was an exceptionally high response, with 50% of the space selling within 48 hours. The remaining space is now selling fast, and is expected to sell out by the end of the week.
As a result, ABHI is in the position of having only limited space remaining at its two core international exhibitions. If, therefore, you wish to exhibit at Medica '09 or Arab Health '10, you are strongly advised to log onto ABHI Exhibitions today, clicking onto Medica and Arab Health, respectively. More to follow in Section 6 below.
Exhibitions aside, our monthly Export Club was held last week, and the event, which focused on the USA and Canada, attracted a record number of attendees. Thank you to those who attended, especially the speakers for providing the excellent and varied case studies.
A thank you too to those of you who responded to ABHI's plea regarding ANVISA's recent proposal on medical devices (the last issue of this e-newsletter refers). ABHI has subsequently written an official letter to the UK Minister of Trade, and is awaiting a response.

|
A business (also called a firm or an enterprise) is a legally recognised organisation designed to provide goods and/or services to consumers. All legitimate businesses operate on certain general principles which are more or less universal and these are either learnt by the employer and the employees in an educational setting or hands-on during work. Whatever the hierarchy within a business, people form the backbone of any organisation and their behaviour has an impact on the fortunes of any organisation.

ABHI's Export Clubs:
9 July 2009, Focus on Australia / New Zealand:
Chairman: Peter Murray, S. Murray & Co. Ltd
Australia represents a large and highly advanced medical device market. The country has a large number of medical device manufacturers, although these tend to be relatively small and concentrate on niche markets.
New Zealand represents a small but highly developed market for medical equipment. The country has a well-developed health infrastructure, and facilities are of a generally high standard. The best access to the market is through the appointment of a local agent.

17 September 2009, Focus on Israel:
Chairman: Tony Brown, The Nexus Group
