Primed & Focus
Primed and Focus are a key ABHI resource, keeping members
up-to-date on developments within ABHI, the wider membership and
industry as a whole. They also reach key government, industry and
academic contacts and serve to build relationships with specific
organisations and individuals through the editorial opportunities
that they offer.
- Focus magazine is our flagship
publication, which we developed and launched in 2004.
Published quarterly the magazine explores a range of industry
issues through interviews, extended news articles and features.
Focus has been greeted with considerable
enthusiasm by both members and non-members, who regard the magazine
as a fresh, informative and topical publication with broad
appeal.
Focus reflects the breadth of
companies and issues that make up the medical technology industry.
We therefore publish articles on a range of subject areas including
UK market issues, science and technology, R&D, technical and
regulatory issues, ABHI’s activities and European and international
affairs.
We publish original material that has been authored specifically
for the ABHI. To date we have secured a number of exclusive
interviews including one with the former Parliamentary
Under-Secretary of State for Health Lord Warner.
- Focus magazine was created to
complement ABHI’s electronic newsletter
Primed, which is available exclusively to
members. Primed is published every
fortnight and aims to keep members up-to-date on ABHI’s activities,
working groups and forums. Primed is
highly valued by members and it was gratifying to see the
newsletter win Newswire of the Year at the Trade Association
Forum’s Best Practice Awards 2004.
Both Focus and
Primed were produced after extensive
consultation with members and we will strive to continue to reflect
and serve the needs of our members as the publications develop and
mature. If you are interested in supplying or writing editorial, or
if you wish to advertise in either of these publications, please
