2. HOSPIMedica Singapore, 17-19 September 2008

HOSPIMedica Asia will hold its seventh exhibition in Singapore this year, and ABHI will, once again, be organising the UK Pavilion.

The exhibition provides vital access for companies penetrating the markets of South East Asia. The changing Asian demographics in terms of declines in fertility, longer life expectancy and the aging population will have an enormous impact on the need for better healthcare. In addition, with the increase in medical tourism, many Asian healthcare institutions are now seeking new equipment, solutions and better initiatives to serve their medical and healthcare needs.

7,000 trade visitors and buyers from the region are expected to visit HOSPIMedica this year, and ABHI are taking early registrations of interest to exhibit. To register your interest, therefore, please e-mail: celia.jarvis@abhi.org.uk.

3. Arab Health, 26-29 January 2009

Market Intelligence provided by:

Espicom B.I. logo

See: UAE Data

for further information see: www.espicom.com

Arab Health 2008 proved to be a great success for the UK with a great many companies gaining lucrative business and valuable contacts from the exhibition.

ABHI took 70 UK companies to the exhibition in January and, with demand increasing for 2009, the show continues to move from strength to strength. The UK is greatly respected for its quality and innovation around the world, especially in the Middle East. With a strong, well-branded UK pavilion and networking receptions, many UK companies achieved great success, and will be returning next year. Arab Health remains, without doubt, the leading healthcare tradeshow for the Middle East, and one that increasingly cannot be missed.

Paul Benton
Events Marketing Manager, ABHI

Arab Health is the largest healthcare event in the Middle East and a key exhibition in the Industry's calendar. ABHI has seen an unprecedented demand for space in recent years; Arab Health 2008 set new records, both in terms of visitors, and exhibitors signing-up to exhibit next year.

Due to an anticipated high demand, therefore, space will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, we suggest you access the following link:

http://www.abhi.org.uk/events/default.aspx
selecting 'Exhibitions' then 'Arab Health'

Complete the booking form as soon as possible, and return it initially via fax* to:
Fax no: 020 7960 4361, and/or

sign and return with your 50% deposit to:
Exhibitions Department
ABHI

* - Faxing is recommended in order to secure your space.

Why exhibit with the ABHI?

  • Grants of up to £1,400 from UKTI for all eligible companies
  • On-going assistance with pre-show planning and organisation
  • Marketing, press and promotion opportunities for your company
  • Use of the best and most professional stand contractors to ensure your stand is constructed exactly the way you want it, and
  • Exclusive use of our exhibitor lounge at the show, offering relaxation, a meeting area and Internet facilities
    - to list just some of the many reasons.

Our main reasons for attending Arab Health have been to meet existing customers, and also to find new ones. We return every year to exhibit as it allows us the opportunity to meet hundreds of procurement specialists.

Being situated within the British Pavilion provides us with a prime stand location, and the ABHI team are superb in managing the pavilion. We look forward to working with them again next year.

Re: FP7 and FP6 Grant Initiatives/R&D Tax Credits - Potential Lost Benefit

Example scenario: If you have claimed relief under the FP7 and FP6 initiatives have you:

  1. Claimed R&D tax credits under the SME Scheme on the portion of costs that were not covered by the grant?
  2. Also claimed tax relief under the Large Company Scheme on the portion that was funded?

If you answered NO to either of the above questions then it is likely you are losing £1000's. We often find many claims are incorrectly prepared and opportunities get overlooked in this specialist area. This is just one example of the many potential scenarios that could result in £100,000's of lost tax benefits to your company.
