A group of 11 UK healthcare companies recently visited the Dr Abdul Rahman Al Mishari hospital. The hospital was formed 40 years ago by Dr Abdul Rahman Al- Mishari. The group thought it an excellent example of a modern first-class hospital providing a wide spectrum of treatments, all at international standards. "This hospital, which is accredited by the Canadian authorities, was most impressive. It had the best equipment available, was a very modern building and the quality of the staff was excellent" said David Hawkins the leader of the mission. See More. A follow-on mission has already been proposed for next year. If interested in the Mission, or, indeed, the market in general, please contact: Syed.Zaman@fco.gov.uk [ back to top ]

3. Arab Health, 26-29 January 2009
Arab Health 2008 proved to be a great success for the UK with a great many companies gaining lucrative business and valuable contacts from the exhibition.

The UK is greatly respected for its quality and innovation around the world, especially in the Middle East. With a strong, well-branded UK pavilion and networking receptions, many UK companies achieved great success, and will be returning next year. Arab Health remains, without doubt, the leading healthcare tradeshow for the Middle East, and one that increasingly cannot be missed.

Re: FP7 and FP6 Grant Initiatives/R&D Tax Credits - Potential Lost BenefitExample scenario: If you have claimed relief under the FP7 and FP6 initiatives have you: - Claimed R&D tax credits under the SME Scheme on the portion of costs that were not covered by the grant?
- Also claimed tax relief under the Large Company Scheme on the portion that was funded?
If you answered NO to either of the above questions then it is likely you are losing £1000's. We often find many claims are incorrectly prepared and opportunities get overlooked in this specialist area. This is just one example of the many potential scenarios that could result in £100,000's of lost tax benefits to your company. email: rcharlton@btrcl.co.uk web: www.btrcl.co.uk Book: Research and Development Tax Credits Roy Charlton
