Arab Health 2009 already a virtual sell out
Middle East's biggest medical event sets new records for 2008 as exhibitors confirm space for 2009

As the Middle East's biggest gathering of medical professionals entered its fourth and final day on 31 January 2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event had successfully showcased over 2,200 exhibitors from more than 65 countries. With final figures being collected, it is expected that total participation in Arab Health 2008 will be well in excess of 50,000 – a 10% increase over last year and yet another record.

ABHI will, once again, be organising the official UK pavilion at Arab Health 2009, and is expecting a huge demand for space.  Application forms for space on the UK pavilion will be issued in this e-newswire next month.  Watch this space …..

On behalf of UK Trade & Investment, and with the support of DH International, British Expertise is organising a Mission to Syria and Jordan to explore opportunities in the healthcare sector. The mission will coincide with the proposed signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the UK Department of Health and the Syrian Ministry of Health. In both countries the priorities are the design and construction of hospitals in the private and public sectors, healthcare administration, quality control systems, hospital management, nurse and technician training, the financing and costing of services, and information management systems. A programme of group visits will be arranged in both countries and time will be allocated for individual meetings where necessary.

CMEF 2008

The CMEF has become one of China's most celebrated healthcare shows this century. Companies have been inundated with enquiries from this show. This is just one of the reasons why ABHI will be there with a UK pavilion for the third consecutive year.

The Spring CMEF will be held in Shenzhen, a sub-provincial city of Guangdong province in southern China. The city - famous at one time for its proximity with the boundary of Hong Kong - is now equally as well known as the centre of foreign investment. It has, since the late 1970s, been one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Shenzhen also has the busiest port in China, after Shanghai.

To join the ABHI Pavilion at this continually-growing and exciting event see:
CMEF Application Form. Alternatively, e-mail exhibitions@abhi.org.uk for further information.
