ABHI's Export Club was held at JETRO* last week. Both Mr Hitoshi Masuda (JETRO) and Mr Anil Vaidya (UKTI) spoke of the opportunities in Japan, with Anil's being specific for the healthcare market.

Company case studies were provided by Mr Nick Bettles (Inditherm Plc) and Mr Steve Spurgin (Downs Surgical), and all presentations were extremely well received.

Interested in Japan?  See Section 5 below covering UKTI's Trade Mission to the market in March.

As for the next Export Club, this will be in May - date and venue TBA - with Africa on the Agenda.  More to follow in due course ....

In the meantime, especially if exhibiting at Arab Health on the ABHI Pavilion next month, please take a few minutes to check your entry on the Draft Directory, featured in the hyperlink below (See Section 2).

4. CMEF '08 - 18-21 April 2008

China no longer seems like a difficult market, in a land far, far away which requires patience and deep pockets to succeed in. CMEF is a show where one gets a sense that China means business and is changing so fast that old attitudes need to be thrown away and thrown away quickly!

Philip Kennedy
Sales & Marketing Director
Eschmann Equipment

China is fast becoming a superpower in the medical device arena. Enterprising companies have minimised their market entry risks to capitalise on its huge potential, and secure their market share.

Paul Benton
Events Marketing Manager
ABHI

The CMEF has become one of China's most celebrated healthcare shows this century. Companies have been inundated with enquiries from this show. This is just one of the reasons why ABHI will be there with a UK pavilion for the third consecutive year.

ShenzhenThe Spring CMEF will be held in Shenzhen, a sub-provincial city of Guangdong province in southern China. The city - famous at one time for its proximity with the boundary of Hong Kong - is now equally as well known as the centre of foreign investment. It has, since the late 1970s, been one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Shenzhen also has the busiest port in China, after Shanghai.

To join the ABHI Pavilion at this continually-growing and exciting event see:
