6. Focus on Singapore

Singapore’s medical standards are among the highest in Asia, and it is widely acknowledged as a regional centre for medical excellence. Healthcare is offered by both the public and private sectors, with the public sector providing 80% of tertiary care and 20% of primary care, with the private sector accounting for the rest. ...

See: Singapore Healthcare Market Report.

An 8-member healthcare mission from Singapore will be visiting the UK from 8 – 12 October. They are keen to identify UK products for exclusive representation in Singapore and the region, with several having well established links in neighbouring markets. UK companies interested in exploring long term collaboration in this promising market are invited to meet the mission at ABHI on Monday, 8 October.

Valsa Panicker is the lead Commercial Officer for Healthcare, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals at UK Trade & Investment in Singapore, a post she has held for 12 years. Valsa will be pleased to meet interested companies to brief them on the opportunities in Singapore, Hospimedica Asia 2008 and of the UK Trade & Investment services available to help them expand their exports to Singapore. Valsa Panicker

Please note that Radiance Medical Systems and the National Healthcare Group will no longer be participating in this Mission. Valsa Panicker, however, has agreed to represent both companies.
