The ABHI Export Club, first and foremost, provides exporters
with an opportunity to share experiences, non-competitive
information and network in a friendly, informal setting. The
meetings also provide an opportunity to find out more about ABHI's
international activities.
The next Export Club, held in conjunction with and at the
premises of, the Middle East Association, will focus on the Middle
East. The format will be a series of interactive
presentations culminating in a buffet lunch. On this
occasion, company case studies will include Smiths Industries.
There will also be a presentation from the British Embassy in
Washington, UN Liaison Officer, namely Yvonne Dale. Yvonne
will cover World Bank opportunities, especially those for the
Middle East.

Thailand Briefing
Meeting
Monday 14 May, 2007; 2.00 - 4.00 p.m.
ABHI will host a Market Briefing at its premises on 14 May
looking at South East Asia markets, with a particular focus on
Thailand.
Mr Khun Attakorn, Trade & Investment Manager at the British
Embassy in Bangkok, will be attending, and speaking at the
event. There will also be company case studies
covering the region, as well as coverage of HOSPIMedica
Thailand.

MEA Seminar of Opportunities with Iraq

The Middle East Association is hosting a seminar on
opportunities with Iraq, majoring on Northern
Iraq/Kurdistan at their Bury House (33 Bury Street, London SW1)
offices.
The seminar will report on MEA's high-level trade mission led by
Lord Tim Clement-Jones to Northern Iraq in November last year, and
include presentations from, amongst others, HE Dr Salad
Al-Shaikhly, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq (keynote address),
Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Chairman, DLA Piper and Ms Bayan Sami Abdul
Rahman, the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative for
the UK.
