ABHI Research & Innovation Forum –
2 February 2006
ABHI held a very successful Research & Innovation Forum at
the Institute of Physics on 2 February.
Nearly 200 delegates heard presentations from our guest speakers
- Dr Liam O'Toole, Chief Executive of the UK Clinical Research
Collaboration, Nick Gaunt, Specialist Associate in Technology &
Product Innovation at the NHS Institute for Innovation and
Improvement, and David Mackintosh, Chief Executive of NHS
Innovations South East.
In addition, ABHI’s Director General – John Wilkinson – gave a
progress report on implementation of the Healthcare Industry Task
Force (HITF) recommendations, and Oliver Wells, Chairman of ABHI’s
Research & Innovation Policy Group, spoke about Healthcare
Technology Co-operatives – one of the key HITF outputs.
