Association of British Healthcare Industries

Missions

Outward Missions

ABHI organises a number of trade missions each year to improve the competitiveness of the UK healthcare industry by making it more aware of developments in management best practice and technology in other countries. Missions investigate and report back on opportunities that exist for collaboration. Missions also investigate and assess the potential of new projects or markets where the interests and application within UK industry is less certain are considered.

Target market selection is based on countries and regions with high growth rate, relatively easy access, low barriers to trade, major consumers of healthcare products and services and /or where healthcare systems are being restructured and expanded.

ABHI's strategic objectives are:

  • to explore the potential for co-operation between UK & overseas organisations
  • to increase the flow of information into UK companies regarding management best practice and technology overseas
  • to disseminate this information as widely as possible throught the UK

Inward Missions:

ABHI hosts several inward missions each year. The missions include buyers and distributors who seek to establish business partners in the UK. Commercial officers from the market often accompany these missions, and are able to provide valuable information and advice on the market.

The International Department is able to arrange site visits and one-to-one meetings with the delegations. Please contact Theresa Ashford for information on upcoming Inward Missions.
