Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

ABHI has a fundraising partnership with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. For ABHI this strategic partnership with a local charity is an important part of our corporate and social responsibility goals. This relationship not only provides support for Great Ormond Street Hospital but also engages our membership in new and interesting activities.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is the UK’s leading children’s hospital and receives more than 200,000 patient visits every year from children all over the UK and the world.

They have more specialties under one roof than any other hospital, with doctors working closely with the research team at the Institute of Child Health to find new ways of providing treatment for rare, complex and often life-threatening conditions.

Whilst the medical care is second to none and the treatment offered at the very leading edge of paediatric care, much of the hospital was built in the 1930’s and does not provide the facilities that clinicians need to continue to look after such seriously ill children.

The hospital is now at the outset of a redevelopment programme, which will transform its most out-dated buildings into world-class facilities, fully equipped to tackle the gravest threats to child health throughout the 21st century.

ABHI's partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity provides an opportunity for members to assist the charity. If you could like more information, or want to know how you can get involved in supporting the charity, please contact laura.collister@abhi.org.uk.
